Heavy Woollen Group Next Meeting - December 10th 2009
There will be the monthly Heavy Woollen meeting this Thursday 10th December at Barclays Club, North Road, Ravensthorpe.

HTSA Southern Group
Southern region enjoyed a memorable end to the season at Orient, where Dean Hoyle, Nigel Clibbens, Sean Jarvis and Paul Ramsden attended an hour long Q&A session with HTSA Southern supporters at The Railway Tavern in Stratford, prior to a very enjoyable buffet lunch and the short walk over to Brisbane Road. A full house asked questions on subjects including Towns'
aspirations for next season, future scouting policy, budgets and discussion as to which parts of the stadium Town fans may or may not be able to access next year, something dictated to largely by the concerns of the stadium safety committee. The icing on the cake however was of course being able to witness Boothy scoring his 150th Town goal on his final game for the club, leading to wild celebrations from the 1,200 Town fans who had made the journey plus, very sportingly, a standing ovation from the Orient fans, both as he scored the goal and after the game".After a busy first year, Southern can now look forward to an even busier second term, with many new teams such as Charlton, Southampton and Norwich joining Division One. Although we now have a barren patch until August, to relieve the boredom, we are trying to arrange an evening get together in London in July, so please keep an eye out for future announcements.

There was an excellent turn-out at last night's meeting, held in The Three Pigeons pub in Halifax.
Club guests were Nigel Clibbens (Chief Exec), Sean Jarvis (Business Development Director) and Paul Ramsden (Match Day Announcer), who lives in the area.
It was a lively meeting with questions continuing beyond 10pm although it wasn't always easy to hear all the answers as the pub itself is a lively venue and our meeting considerably overflowed the room we had.There is clearly enough interest in Calderdale to sustain a group next season and the next step is to identify a suitable venue with a sufficiently large room - and a bar!
HTSA Southern Group Meeting
We are delighted to advise that we have been able to arrange a pre-match meet on May 2nd prior to the last game of the season at Orient, where our guests will be Dean Hoyle, Nigel Clibbens and Sean Jarvis. We are also hopeful that Paul Ramsden will be able to join us although this will be confirmed nearer the time. The format will be a Q&A session starting at 12:30, with a buffet lunch afterwards before leaving for the short walk to Brisbane Road ready for kick off. Numbers are strictly limited and over half of the available places have already been taken, so if you would like to come along, please e-mail me at andykilvington@htsa.co.uk and I’ll respond confirming a place plus provide full details. Given the restriction on numbers, it is strictly first come first served!”

Spen Valley Branch of HTSA
The next meeting of the Spen Valley branch of the Supporters Association is on Tuesday 24th March at Millbridge WMC, Bennett Street, Liversedge, WF15 7ES.
The meeting will start at 7.30pm.
It is hoped the guest(s) at this month's meeting will be a player(s) from the squad who will chat and answer any relevant questions.
The group are planning to run a coach to Scunthorpe on Good Friday, 10th April. If anyone is interested please email Ian Lawrence (ian_lawrence@sky.com). A £10 deposit will be needed to reserve your seat, and this can be paid at the meeting.

Update - North West Group - Meeting - 28th February 2009
Further information for the meeting prior to the Stockport game at the Blossoms Hotel in Stockport. I have spoken to the landlord again today and he is going to put a choice of food on. Chilli or hot pot with crispy bread/red cabbage etc. I have negotiated price of £2.50 per head for food which I think is more than reasonable. Suggesting a 12.30 start for meeting.

With the help of Andy (HTSA Southern) I have booked a venue for the inaugural meeting of HTSA NW prior to our game with Stockport County on 28th February 2009. The landlord is very friendly and they have set aside a function room that can accommodate 50-70 people, so hopefully this will be big enough. It would help if we can get an idea on numbers – I appreciate this will be difficult, however he has offered to put a hot pot/chilli on.

Southern Group to meet with Gerry Murphy & Graham Mitchell
Sorry this is later notice than I'd intended, but I've just got confirmation and am delighted to advise we've got Gerry Murphy and Graham Mitchell to agree to meet up with us before the Southend game on the 13th December 2008.
Unlike the last two meetings at Swindon and Brighton, this will be a bit earlier, because the two GM's have their lunch with the team, etc, so MUST be finished by 11:30. Accordingly, kick off will be 10:45 for 11:00 prompt at the teams hotel, which is in Basildon, about 8 miles west of Southend. Please let me know if you'd like to come along and I'll send full details, directions, etc. Also, the hotel is on a large retail park and so afterwards there is a choice of many eateries on the doorstep, plus of course the hotel itself has a restaurant, so we can all decide on the day what plans we want to make for lunch before the short journey to Roots Hall.
Personally, I'm really looking forward to hearing what the two boys have to say - apart from the odd daft comment form just a few on The Messageboard, they seem to have captured the imagination of the vast
majority of Town fans, me included.Regards

Update 25th November 2008
"HTSA Southern again teamed up with The Patrons for a pre-match meeting with Paul Ogden (Oggy) and Kieran O'Regan from BBC Radio Leeds at Brighton last weekend. The question and answer session was very well attended and gave Town fans a good insight into all things HTFC from the match commentators perspective. After giving our thanks to Oggy and to Kieran there was still time to grab a bite to eat before the short walk over to The Withdean. The day was rounded off nicely after a great goal from Michael Collins and an even better penalty save from Matt Glennon allowed us all to go home three points richer and with big smiles on our faces!
Next up Southend in three weeks time. In addition, we are hoping to organise a midweek evening in central London for a pre - Christmas get together for all fans. Full details of both events will be posted on here in due course, but in the interim please send expressions of interest to me as below. North West Group - Inaugural Meeting - November 22nd 2008
The inaugural meeting of the North West Group, is arranged for 12:30 at The Grapes, Wrea Green, Kirkham, Preston (more info at http://www.pub-explorer.com/lancs/pub/grapeshotelwreagreen.htm ). Come along and hear more about the Supporters Association and maybe play your part in organising future events for this latest regional group. Southern Group to meet with Paul Ogden & Kieran O'Regan - November 22nd 2008
The Southern Group is holding its second meeting in Brighton before the match on on Saturday the 22nd of November. This will be a joint meeting with the Southern Patrons and starts at 12 noon when Paul Ogden and Kieran O'Regan have agreed to meet fans for a question and answer session. The venue is Preston Park Hotel, next to Preston Park station, which makes it very handy for those opting to use their travel voucher ticket to get to The Withdean by train. There will then be time for lunch and/or a drink before leaving for the short walk to the match.

Southern Group to meet with Dean Hoyle - October 11th 2008
Good news! Dean Hoyle (Town's Chairman-elect) has agreed to hold a meeting on October 11th 2008 at 12:15 at the Swindon Marriott - see http://www.marriott.co.uk/hotels/travel/swidt-swindon-marriott-hotel/
This will be a joint meeting between the Southern Patrons and the southern group of the Supporters Association. (Some of you may get two notifications but I hope that's better than none!) All those who have heard Dean speak previously have been mightily impressed by his honesty and forthrightness so I hope you'll make a special effort to be there a week on Saturday.
